  • Established in 1963, Semester at Sea is the only study abroad program of its kind in the world. Using a ship as a traveling campus, undergraduates, lifelong learners, faculty, and lecturers live and learn together while circumnavigating the globe each fall and spring semester and exploring a world region each May and summer term. 108th Semester at Sea Voyage Departs Nassau, Bahamas

January 20, 2012: The 108th voyage of Semester at Sea departed Nassau, Bahamas today after a one-day delay. The voyage includes a learning community of 570 undergraduate students, 79 lifelong learners, 38 faculty, and 32 staff. The spring voyage will visit 11 countries around the world in 104 days.
