Matt Pierson

Matt Pierson is the Managing Director of Dunn & Partners. He is Vice Chair of the Board and is the Chair of the Enrollment, Communications and Marketing Committee and also serves on the Executive and Finance Committees.

For the past 25 years Matt Pierson has been involved with numerous start-up and early stage high tech companies. In 1996, he co-founded DTC Communications, building the company to $30 million in revenue before selling it to a UK based defense company in 2004.

Matt has been named Exporter of the Year (1993) and Entrepreneur of the Year (2003) in New Hampshire. Matt is an active angel investor, as well as sits on the board of numerous non-profit and for-profit organizations, including Nanocomp Technologies, the Entrepreneurs Foundation of New Hampshire, Veterans Count, and the New Hampshire High Technology Council. He also serves on the advisory board of the Defense Technology Initiative and on the Hanscom AFB Science and Technology Board. In July of 2009, he was named a Managing Director at Dunn & Partners, a Boston-based investment banking firm.

Matt graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Business Administration. He sailed on the Fall 1983 Semester At Sea voyage. He helped establish the Meaning of Entrepreneurship course at the University of New Hampshire in 2008 and has served on the Chancellor search committee for the Community College System of New Hampshire.
