SAS Undergraduates Semester at Sea students are remarkably bright, thoughtful, and involved young thinkers. Open to all majors, we attract undergraduate scholars in international studies, business, and liberal arts—but when the world is your learning laboratory, students of all backgrounds have found the program relevant to their educational pursuits. As many as 2000 undergraduate students experience a shipboard semester abroad with Semester at Sea each year. Fall and spring voyage includes 600-700 undergraduates representing as many as 270 colleges in the United States and around the world. More than 1,500 institutions participate in the program and accept transferable University of Virginia credit. See a selected list.
