Can I add or drop courses while on board the ship?

Absolutely, and you will be given plenty of notice as to the add/drop deadlines while on board.

Do Semester at Sea courses concentrate on the countries visited?

Yes. Each course is specially formulated to incorporate the countries visited.

How large are the classes?

Classes typically contain about 20 students, leaving you ample opportunity to engage with your professors.

What is the recommended amount of credits/courses to take?

On average most students take between four and five classes amounting to 12 or 16 credits. This includes the mandatory Global Studies course. We do not recommend exceeding five courses.
