Field programs are an integral part of the Semester at Sea learning experience. Eric Burgoyne recently participated in one such program that visited an alternative energy production site and describes the experience

Eric Burgoyne is a presence in the computer lab, working non-stop during his two-hour work-study shift to help his fellow Semester at Sea shipmates solve their computer problems.  Students, faculty, staff and lifelong learners all seem to enjoy his unique blend of patience, technical knowledge and humor.

From the first moment that Amira Kabbara learned about Semester at Sea, she knew that this was the program for her.  Her mother had just attended a parent’s orientation and came back loaded with information about the study and travel opportunities it offered.
