After a short period of absence, the Semester at Sea blog is back in action. I've been told that the beginning of each voyage is a lot like experiencing the freshman year of college. For most of us - faculty, staff, students, lifelong learners - everything is new. We are in a community of new people, in new surroundings and have new roles.

Ensenada, Mexico

On Sunday, more than 600 students and lifelong learners began their Spring 2010 Semester at Sea journey when they boarded the ship in Ensenada, Mexico. On this voyage, they will travel around the world, visit 13 ports and 8 foreign countries before arriving in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on May 5, 2010.
