Travel Arrangements

The ship will depart from Miami, Florida at 5 p.m. (EST) on January 9th, 2009. You must board the ship between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (EST) for check-in before departure. If needed and if approved by the Captain, the gangway will remain open until 4:00 p.m. But this is at the discretion of the Captain. The ship will return to Miami, Florida at 8 a.m. on January 13th, 2009.

We encourage you to book a flight that will allow you a cushion of time that may be needed due to travel delays. If you would like assistance booking air and pre-cruise hotel space please call BCD Travel,1-800-245-1099.

We encourage you to book your return flight for 2:00 p.m. or later on January 13th. Due to port security, homeland security, customs, and the large number of people disembarking, we cannot guarantee that you will make your flight if you choose to book it earlier than 2 p.m.

Miami International Airport (MIA)

Miami International Airport is approximately nine miles from the Port of Miami; the estimated time it takes to drive from the airport to the port is about 15-20 minutes (without traffic). Taxicabs and SuperShuttle (305-871-2000) vans are available only on the ARRIVAL (ground) level at Miami International Airport, outside of the baggage claim areas. MIA has wheelchair-accessible taxicabs and SuperShuttle vans available upon request to any taxi starter, located on the ground level of the terminal, outside the baggage claim area.
