Dear Semester at Sea Alumni,
On behalf of the SAS Alumni Association, we invite you to join us on board the MV Explorer in Miami for reunion voyage to Turks and Caicos, January 9-13, 2009! Our reunion committee has been working for the past year to plan a reunion rich with meaningful speakers, SAS traditions and entertainment. Join hundreds of alumni and their families and friends to celebrate Semester at Sea.
Erin Gruwell, author of Freedom Writers, which sparked the film of the same name featuring Hilary Swank, will be joining us this year as a featured keynote speaker. We also have two key Semester at Sea leaders joining us as special guests: Lloyd Lewan, who sailed on over 20 voyages, will serve as our Honorary Executive Dean and Paul Liebhardt, photographer on over 12 SAS voyages, will present a "Slide Show through the Decades".
The SAS Alumni Association Board of Directors extends a special invitation to the "milestone reunion years." If you sailed in 1969, 1979, 1984, 1989 or 1999, we will be offering special reunion activities for you and your shipmates, such as receptions, voyage photos, and an "Insider's Tour" of the ship to areas not normally seen by passengers.
