SP22 Itinerary Update – Gibraltar, U.K.
Pre-arrival testing in Spain on February 19 revealed a total of 18 COVID-19 positive passengers, and one Influenza A case aboard the MV World Odyssey. As a result, we were able to successfully disembark passengers in Barcelona, Spain on February 20. Due to the success of the mitigation measures, we will stay in Barcelona until February 26. Any COVID-19 positive cases identified prior to our departure will be required to stay in Spain for their quarantine/isolation (close contacts will be permitted to board, but will be quarantined on ship for five days).
Upon departure from Barcelona, the MV World Odyssey will make a one day port stop to Gibraltar on February 28, and then resume travel to Lisbon arriving as planned on March 5. Gibraltar does not have any testing or COVID-19 threshold requirements and does not require visas for any of our passengers. We believe our ship community will enjoy this extra port stop and day to explore a new region.
