A poem by Odysseas Elytis: Anniversary

Throughout the MV Explorer, students and staff can read poetry descending over the staircase walls. Among them is the poem Anniversary written by Odysseaus Elytis. In this short feature, you will hear the words of Elytis read by Media Studies professor Paul Wagner, while seeing the beautiful sights witnessed aboard the MV Explorer. Anniversary can teach students about the beauty of spoken word, and how this journey will shape each and every one of us, just like how the beauty of the world is shaped throughout this piece of poetry.
