Our Program

Semester at Sea aims to offer opportunities every year to allow study abroad representatives to learn more about our program. If you would like to tour our campus you can visit us during an Open Ship event. If you have a more flexible schedule, participate in a Site Visit Program. Site Visits allow you to meet current voyage faculty and staff, observe classes and shipboard life, participate in field programming and assist with the embarkation/disembarkation processes.

Please see below for upcoming Study Abroad Advisor Events. If you are unable to participant in one of our advertised events, we may be able to arrange an independent option for you to visit our campus. Please contact Chris Churma, Director, University & Education Abroad Relations for more information.

UPCOMING EVENTS FOR STUDY ABROAD REPRESENTATIVES

Site Visits

Participating in a Semester at Sea site visit is a great opportunity for study abroad representatives to tour our campus, meet current voyage faculty and staff, observe classes and shipboard life, participate in field programming and assist with the embarkation/disembarkation processes.

Site Visit Travel Grants

The Institute for Shipboard Education Diversity Advisory Committee is making available several Site Visit Travel Grants for representatives from Minority Serving Institutions. These grants were developed for Study Abroad Advisors, preferably from Minority Serving Institutions, who come from Institutions who have an active commitment to increase underrepresented student participation in study abroad. Limited  reimbursement grants can be made available for up to $1,000. To apply for a Site Visit Travel Grant, please click here.

Open Ship Tours

Semester at Sea’s version of a traditional open house, gives students, families, and study abroad representatives the opportunity to experience the MV World Odyssey. Don’t miss the chance to come tour our ship and learn about the value of a truly global education. There really is no better way to get a feel for the unique nature of the Semester at Sea experience.
