Bearing Witness: Slavery in Ghana

Many of us have heard the tales of slaves doomed to die – or worse, sail across the Atlantic where they would be sold to landowners in Jamaica and the Americas – in the slave castles of Ghana. But not enough of us know that there are still children being trafficked through Ghana for the purpose of slavery, while others are orphaned or abandoned. Follow along with participants of the Fall 2011 Voyage as they visit a school and orphanage for these beautiful children, as well as the slave castles and walk the very halls so many were unable to escape.
