The focus will be global perspectives on critical health topics, with a broad overview of factors that affect public health, such as social and political factors and how the environment influences health. Climate change, increased population density and geographic mobility aids disease outbreaks. The burden of diseases both infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases will be explored focusing on global and local impacts. Health issues and their social and economic consequences will be examined with a special focus on the countries we will visit. Future challenges to a safe and healthy environment will be explored as well as how collaboration, new knowledge and technology can affect global public health.
