Arizona Founder’s Day Alumni Event

October 22, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Come Celebrate SAS Founder’s Day at the MIM! What is the MIM? The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM)! The MIM invites guests to travel the world through music at this unique attraction, and you won’t need a passport. Not only is this the only global musical instrument museum, but Phoenix was specifically selected as the city in which MIM was built. The architecture and landscape blends into the native desert environment, while guests can experience diverse nationalities in MIM’s Geographic Galleries. Exhibits focus on musical heritage, cultures, and instruments from 200 countries and territories. MIM’s Geographic Galleries showcase music through multi-media that allows you to hear, see, and feel the creative spirit of people as they play their instruments. The guided tour offers an overview of the world’s music, focusing on cultures in each geographic region of the globe. Enjoy the artistry of instruments and different genres of music played by influential performers in the Artist Gallery. End the tour in the Experience Gallery where you can bang a drum, strum a Burmese harp and have fun making music of your own on instruments from around the world.
