Dr. Abbas Noorbakhsh is a Professor of Finance and Global Business in the School of Business, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. He holds a BA degree in Political Science from University of Tehran in Iran, an MA in Economics from University of Kansas, and a Ph.D. in Economics / Finance from Kansas State University. He also holds certificates of professional training from the East-West Center, University of Hawaii and the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Dr. Noorbakhsh has more than 25 years of teaching experience in the areas of managerial finance, international financial management, global business, and economic theory. He has published in Journal of Developing Areas, Economics of Education Review, Global Finance Journal, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, etc. His latest research focused on the effects of national culture on corporate cash holdings and also on corporate cash holdings, foreign direct investment, and corporate governance. Dr. Noorbakhsh has been a recipient of Fulbright-Hays Scholarship and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Slippery Rock University Middle East Studies Center.
