Originally from Buffalo, New York, Alison holds an MA in Higher Education Administration from Boston College where she also served as a Resident Director in the Office of Residential Life and a Staff Leader for the Arrupe International Immersion Program. During her time working with the Arrupe Program, Alison traveled to Latin America with student groups and facilitated reflections designed to promote awareness and discussion about the economic, political and social issues in the region. Most recently, Alison returned to the classroom and received a JD from Boston College Law School this spring. While at BCLS, Alison studied International Law as well as International Human Rights Law and represented the university in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Aside from her interests in international affairs and travel she also enjoys teaching group exercise classes and being active playing sports like volleyball and softball. Alison is thrilled to be a staff member for Semester at Sea’s 50thanniversary voyage this fall. She is very eager to meet the Fall 2013 shipboard community and looks forward to experiencing this life changing adventure.
