Allie Delury began her Journalism career with Big Ten Network in 2010, where she worked as a camera operator, producer, director, and on-air talent until 2012. She held numerous internships at FOX Sports North, WCCO-TV (CBS) and the University of Minnesota School of Journalism throughout her college career, where she obtained two bachelor’s degrees in Communication Studies and Journalism. After graduating in 2012, she was hired as a full-time reporter for WDIO-TV (ABC) in Duluth, Minnesota.
In late 2012, Allie began her military career at Aviano Air Base, Italy, where she specialized in public relations and crisis communication. Other notable assignments include working as a combat camera officer, where she trained over 50 military combat correspondents so they could document combat operations in deployed environments. In this position, she deployed to Africa for six months, worked at the Air Force’s second-largest video production facility for three years, and traveled around the world. Allie ended her full-time military career in 2017, and now works as a Public Affairs Officer in the Air Force Reserves at various international locations, to include: the Royal Air International Tattoo in England, and Special Operations Command Europe in Germany.
Allie’s biggest passion has always been travel. Even in college, she studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina and came back as a global ambassador for the University of Minnesota study abroad program. She resides in Colorado, but has traveled to over 60 countries. She could not be more excited to join the Fall 2018 Semester at Sea team and give back to the learning abroad community.
