Ally LeClair comes to SAS from Santa Barbara, CA where she has spent the last 3 years as a Resident Director at UC Santa Barbara. Before returning to California (her home state!), she was living in Brussels, Belgium where she completed her Masters in International Law, specifically studying the rights of Sex Workers. Prior to that she lived in Kuwait for two years, where she worked for the United Service Organization on Ali Al Salem military base. While she was over there, she was fortunate enough to be able to travel broadly, when she wasn’t working to create a home away from home for our service men and women. Ally has had a passion for traveling and learning about other cultures for as long as she can remember, and has been fortunate to have had many opportunities to see the world – whether that be for school, work, or play. She has traveled to 40 countries in total, and is excited to explore more of the world in such a unique way with Semester At Sea! In her free time, Ally enjoys having intentional conversations, researching human sexuality, and learning about the world. She is thrilled for this opportunity and the relationships that will be built during our time together.
