Ann-Marie works in the travel industry as a freelance onsite coordinator for corporate travel programs, meetings and specialty events, through her company Indigo Global. She also works as a travel specialist for The Village Experience, a socially pro-active business dedicated to uplifting impoverished communities through efforts in international trade and tourism. Her work takes her to cities throughout the US, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, Africa and Asia.
During her undergraduate studies at Indiana University, Ann-Marie lived and studied in Madrid, Spain. It was during her year abroad that she developed a passion for travel. Ann-Marie then sailed as a student on the SAS Spring 2002 voyage, graduating on the ship in a Vietnamese rice hat, in lieu of the traditional cap and gown.
Ann-Marie has also lived and worked in Sydney, Australia and volunteered as an English teacher in Lima, Peru. Travel and cultural exploration are priorities in her life, and she is thrilled to be a part of the Spring 2013 voyage. Semester at Sea continues to have a lasting impact on Ann-Marie’s career and life focus, and she looks forward to assisting the S’13 students in their own memorable SAS journey.
