Anne Cowardin

Anne currently divides her time as the Director of the Counseling Center at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado where she lives and as owner of a bustling private practice, Life Connected, LLC. She earned her PhD in counseling psychology in 1991 from the University of Pennsylvania and her undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Virginia.
Anne has worked with university students for over 20 years at the University of Wyoming, University of North Carolina at Wilmington and the University of Colorado. She specializes in the Mind-Body-Spirit connection in all of us and in developmental issues for college aged and older individuals. She is an advanced certified hypnotherapist and has been certified as a group psychotherapist.

She has traveled and worked overseas teaching in international schools in Greece and Belgium. In 1995, she presented at the NGO 4th World conference on Women in Beijing, China and 3 years later returned with a delegation of Psychologists to meet with Chinese cohorts in the mental health field. She is very excited to return to the MV Explorer for the Summer 2013 voyage.
