Bryan Koop is a photographer with an eye for detail. He first sailed with Semester at Sea as a student in F04, and has since embarked to Central America, Africa, and Asia to volunteer with humanitarian groups. This seasoned explorer studied at the University of Birmingham in England, backpacked throughout Europe, earned his paraglider pilot’s license in Australia, and became a certified scuba diver on the Great Barrier Reef. In addition to travel and photography, Bryan is passionate about vintage motorcycles, white water kayaking, and mountain biking. He is excited for wife Sara will join him for part of voyage, and is most looking forward to photographing Morocco.
Bryan is a photographer at the University of Minnesota, as well as a Twin Cities wedding photographer. Previously, he served as a photojournalist for ABC, and a photographer for Thomson Reuters. He holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design and photography from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
