Originally from New York State, Catherine Raleigh received her B.A. in Political Science, with a focus in Globalization Studies, from Siena College. Passionate about international study and cultural exploration, Catherine first studied abroad in Namibia and South Africa during her junior year of college. Upon graduation, she taught primary school English in Lorraine, France for an academic year and had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe.
Returning from France, Catherine began working toward her M.A. in International Education at SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont, where she also worked as an Admissions Associate for the Experiment in International Living. She is currently living in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she is continuing her graduate studies while working at the Institute for Shipboard Education. Catherine is excited to board the MV Explorer for the first time as an Assistant Field Office Coordinator and cannot wait to get to know the students, faculty, and staff on the Fall 2013 voyage!
