Dr. Charlene Dykman is Professor of Management in the Cameron School of Business at University of
St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. Dr. Dykman received her MBA and Ph.D. in Business Administration
from the University of Houston, and an MA from Michigan State University in the Economic History
of Northern Africa. She brings an accomplished industry background, having managed numerous
advanced systems projects around the world. Dr. Dykman has published more than 100 scholarly articles
and case studies related to international management and organizational behavior. She has received
numerous national and state-wide awards for her scholarly achievements and excellence in teaching. Dr.
Dykman has worked extensively in international venues. She was a Fulbright Fellow with the Ciudad
del Saber (a World Bank and United Nations funded initiative) in Panama, Central America, lecturing,
conducting research and consulting with University Presidents throughout the Caribbean region. She
also spent a summer in Malawi, Africa, working with the former Minister of Education on numerous
educational initiatives. Dr. Dykman’s extensive international business experience (in Italy, England,
Chile, Argentina, Mexico, China, Canada, and others) as well as her innovative and engaging teaching
style ensures that her students are always challenged to be actively involved, to engage with the subject
matter at a deep level, and to apply what they learn to their own lives and their future careers.
