Chuck Petranek is a housing professional who loves helping students make the most out of their college experience. Helping students make positive memories is what makes him most excited to start each and every day. He was born and raised in rural Montana and received a degree in Plant Science and a minor in Sociology from Montana State University. He went on to get his Master’s degree in Higher Education Student Personnel Administration from the University of Arizona. He most recently comes from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he worked as a Coordinator of Student Development overseeing communities housing between 250-700 students.
In his spare time Chuck likes to go surfing, build furniture, read, and try new things. With a belief that life can be too short, Chuck works to seize every new and exciting experience possible. Chuck hopes to use this belief to help students participating in Semester at Sea to make the most out of their adventure.
