Chris Seng has worked in higher education enrollment services positions the past 25 years supporting students in their educational goals. Chris currently serves as Director/University Registrar at Colorado State University. In this role he leads a team of 45 amazing individuals who collaborate with faculty and staff from all departments on campus implementing initiatives to meet undergraduate access, enrollment and completion goals of the University.
Chris is a strong advocate of University Student Success Initiatives aimed at increasing retention and graduation rates of undergraduate students. He has consulted for the U.S. Department of Education and several higher education institutions and presented at state, regional and national conferences. He also works with software vendors as they develop solutions for campuses in administrative system software. He is able to apply his years of student administrative system expertise with emerging trends in enrollment management to keep the Office of the Registrar in a leading position with respect to professional best practices, employee satisfaction and enrollment goals.
After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Chris and his wife, Stephanie, served as United States Peace Corps volunteers in Guinea, West Africa. Upon return from Africa, Chris worked in Financial aid at Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska after which he and Steph made their way to Colorado. They have called Fort Collins home since before Y2K. The current passions in Chris’ life outside of work include hiking 14ers in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, training for a 100K ultra run, and enjoying the ever changing restaurant scene in Fort Collins, Colorado.
