Resident Director

Christina Olstad

Christina Olstad (Resident Director) Christina has served in various roles in student affairs and has over a decade of experience in residential education, student activities, and leadership development. She is currently an Assistant Director of Residential Education at the University of Vermont. She has held a variety of positions in residential life, student activities, and leadership development at Augsburg College and at the University of New England prior to her time at the University of Vermont. While at the University of New England, she served as adjunct faculty to the psychology department and taught “Socio-Cultural Context of Human Development through the Life Span”. She has a B.S. in Social Work from Augsburg College, MSW from Augsburg College, and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Vermont. Christina is qualified to administer the Intercultural Development Inventory, EQ-i, MBTI Step I and Step II, and is a StrengthsQuest Educator. Her academic interests include social justice education, supporting students in recovery, unveiling the shadow side of leadership and developing intercultural competence. She is excited to be a part of the 2012 Summer Voyage and looks forward to getting to know all of the students, faculty, and staff on the ship.
