Christine Reid (Scotland) is currently Corporate Awards Manager with the University of Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals; in December 1998 she was awarded one of the Library Association Royal Charter Centenary Medals in recognition of her professional expertise and personal enthusiasm. She was named European Business Librarian of the Year in 2000. She is the author of numerous articles and is a regular book reviewer. Christine was born in Aberdeenshire in the North-East of Scotland but has lived in Glasgow since her student days. Christine is a handbell ringer and is secretary of the Handbell Ringers of Great Britain which aims to advance, provide and encourage for the public benefit the art of handbell tune ringing in all its forms.
