Christy Anthony

Christy Anthony currently serves the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as the Director of Student Citizenship, managing the academic and personal conduct systems at the Institute, as well as supervising Conflict Resolution at MIT.  Prior to moving to the Boston area, Christy lived in the Washington, DC area, working at Georgetown University and American University in residence life, student conduct, and conflict resolution services.  She holds an M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont (UVM), a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the College of William and Mary, and a Virginia secondary teaching license.  Christy speaks French and a bit of Spanish, but reportedly with a French accent.
Christy has additional training in mediation, conflict coaching, restorative justice, and cross-cultural communication.  She has presented nationally at the Association for Student Conduct Administration, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and the National Conference of College Women Student Leaders.  In her free time, Christy enjoys cooking, cycling, swimming, sailing, and spending quality time with her dog, Bard.  Also, of course, Christy loves traveling and has had the pleasure of traveling as a student and with students.  Christy and her spouse can’t wait to climb aboard the MV Explorer for their first voyage and see the world with with SAS Summer 2013 crew, staff, faculty, and students!
