Dependent Children Coordinator

Dale Hoff

Receiving his Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Seattle University in 1975, Dale taught Junior High and High School in Seattle for five years before starting Hoff Construction Company – which he owned and operated for thirty three years.  Closing his company in 2013, Dale then created Handcrafts in Word and Wood which has designed and created some of the Pacific Northwest’s most decorated and iconic Little Free Libraries.

Dale has had an 18 year relationship with SAS serving as Dependent School Coordinator on four previous voyages.  He takes pride and embraces the endearing label of ‘the Principal’ of SAS’s  version of a one room school house and claims he has launched 54 graduates out of the program to date.
