David Brown is a board certified emergency physician with 30 years of experience. In addition to practicing emergency medicine, he has developed and was director of a hospital based occupational medicine program, practiced college health and served as a clinical instructor and lecturer for emergency medicine and family medicine residents and medical and physician assistant students. In the 2011-2012 summer season he deployed with the United States Antarctic Program as lead physician at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. As physician onboard the MV Explorer for the Spring 2008 voyage, a 2010 Enrichment voyage and the 2011 Maymester he found that his love of travel was exceeded only by his enjoyment of the students, faculty, staff and families of the SAS community. He looks forward to being a part of the Fall 2013 voyage.
