Ellen is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Director of Counseling Services for Academic Year Staff Services at Colorado State University. She has worked on college campuses her whole career in a wide range of capacities: as a psychology professor at Hampshire College, the Assistant Dean of Student Life at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, and for the last 10 years as a senior staff psychologist at Colorado State University. Ellen was an American Field Service (AFS) exchange student in Japan while still in high school, and has lived and worked in both Japan and Germany for over 4 years. She has traveled widely throughout Europe and Asia. Ellen loves the excitement of new places and new adventures. She is looking forward to working and living in the shipboard community with students, faculty, staff and lifelong learners as well as exploring new ports of call. She hopes the ocean remains beautiful and flat! Ellen enjoys travel, visiting children and grandchildren, hiking, camping, cooking, pampering her cats, and generally exploring new things. She will be traveling with her husband who is the Vice Provost for International Affairs at CSU.
