Heather Browning

Heather is a native of California and currently works at the University of California, Davis as a Program Coordinator & Advisor in the Cross Cultural Center. She holds a B.A. in International Studies (emphasis in Latin American Studies) with a minor in Anthropology from California State University, Long Beach and a M.S. in College Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University. Heather has worked at various institutions throughout the United States in roles around social justice, diversity programming, and multicultural competence. Her international experience began when she completed a semester-long study abroad program in Quito, Ecuador during her undergraduate years. This sparked a love of both culture and travel, and she went on to visit and explore Uruguay and Argentina. Heather is extremely excited for the opportunity to work for the Semester at Sea program and is looking forward to building a community with the students that will be traveling Summer 2012. Heather is a self-proclaimed “foodie” and is excited to explore the culinary cultures of each country. She loves working with students and is thrilled to be part of this life-changing opportunity and adventure.
