Jaemin Robertson is a native of Chicago, Illinois and attended Northern Illinois University (NIU) where he graduated with his B.A. in Political Science . Soon after completing his undergraduate studies, Jaemin continued his education at NIU where worked as an Graduate Resident Director in the Department of Residential Life. After completing his Masters M.S.Ed in Higher Education, he moved on to Florida to serve in several roles including Residence Life and currently Multicultural Programs (MPAS) at Florida International University (FIU). While at FIU, Jaemin currently serves as the Assistant Director within the MPAS office. Jaemin oversees Several initiatives such as Male Mentoring Initiative (MMI) Social Justice Committee Program, Program Committee.
Some of his areas of interest and experience include student leadership development, partnering with faculty to implement jocial justice education, risk management, student conduct and bystander intervention.
As a Semester at Sea first timer, Jaemin is both grateful and excited to join the program and serve the shipboard community. He looks forward to meeting new people and embarking on a truly transformative experience together with voyagers.
