Jaime Hartless

Jaime Hartless is a fifth year PhD candidate affiliated with the Sociology Department at the University of Virginia. Before attending UVA, she obtained a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from Randolph-Macon Woman’a College (i.e., now Randolph College) and an MSc in Sociology from the University of Oxford; she also has an additional MA in Sociology from UVA. Jaime’s research interests include identity politics in the feminist and gay rights movements, and her dissertation project will compare ally incorporation in the two social movements. She has four years of TA experience at UVA, and has taught Gender and Sexuality as a graduate instructor twice during Summer session.
