Judith Overcash has had a lengthy career in education and the arts and Semester at Sea. She first sailed on SAS in Fall 1991, tutoring the youngsters of the faculty and staff, then again in 2010 and 2013 as a Christmas passenger and in 2011 she was the director and teacher for the successful children’s program to the Amazon. Judith has presented programs on Salvador Dali during the three holiday voyages and has been a docent for 16 years at the Salvador Dali Museum in St Petersburg, FL.
Her current artistic passions are experimental water media, pottery, flower arranging, teaching and leading meditations, colored pencil drawing, writing, and creating original books (winning best in show at our art center). Judith also volunteers with elders, driving them to doctor’s appointments through our local hospital’s free van service, doing clerical work at a local school and preparing and serving meals at the St Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen. She is a seasoned traveler, having been to all the continents, and looks forward to working with the Life Long Learners on this Fall 2014 voyage.
