As a librarian, Judy has worked in a variety of libraries including the US Government Printing Office as a Government Information librarian and in both two-year and four-year academic college and university libraries. She enthusiastically helps people find the information they need and teach them how to find it.
Her collaborative projects with faculty include teaching students to use manuscript census to do in- depth research, guiding students through the critical thinking process necessary to decide which web pages are reliable and modeling research methods for first year students. She finds it exhilarating to watch students grow as they delve into a project that ultimately turns into new knowledge for them.
Judy holds a BA in Social Science from San Jose State University and M.L.S. from University of Hawaii, Manoa. When not involved with libraries and teaching, she enjoys baking, reading, outings with the family and travel.
