Kati Newburg is looking forward to serving as Dependent Children Coordinator on the Spring 2013 Voyage! She holds a B.A. from Agnes Scott College (a women’s college in Atlanta, Georgia) where she double-majored in Classical Civilization and Religious Studies. While at Agnes Scott, she also focused on education of children and adolescents. She is employed as Client Training Specialist at Pardot, a marketing automation software company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Aside from her education and career, Kati is passionate about creative writing, theatre, music, and technology. She most likely has a book (or her e-reader) on her at any given moment.
Kati has worked with a wide range of children through volunteer and extracurricular activities, including Junior Classical League, refugee resettlement programs, and summer camps. Prior to the voyage, her travels extended only as far as Montréal, Québec, Canada. She is excited to expand her horizons (literally!) and share the experience with her partner, Dr. Joseph Laycock.
