Korrin Stanek serves as the Director of Orientation and Family Programs within the Division of Academic and Student Affairs at Florida International University. She leads a team of approximately 100 staff and student leaders who help to transition new undergraduate students and their families to the university through virtual, on-campus and extended orientation programs along with family engagement opportunities. Prior to this role, she worked for Residential Life at FIU both as a graduate student and as a professional. She earned her undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance at Millikin University, a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution and Consensus Building, and her Masters degree in Educational Leadership at Florida International University.
After serving as a Resident Director in the Fall of 2016, Korrin is excited for her second SAS voyage as the Assistant Dean of Students. She is looking forward to helping lead the Student Life team and connecting with all members of FA21 community while traveling to parts of the world she hasn’t yet visited. On the ship you’ll be likely to find her in the gym, working on her laptop outside of the Fritz or playing late-night card games with Staculty and students.
