*Note: Koty serves in the regular full time home office role as Manager of International Field Programs and during the Spring 2023 voyage, she will be acting as the Field Director.
Koty Erdmann is the Manager of International Field Programs at the Institute for Shipboard Education (ISE). She has worked for ISE for over 5 years coordinating and developing in-country field programming and is excited to sail a full voyage as a member of the Field Office team. Koty loves creating engaging and experiential educational experiences for students and adult learners.
Koty earned her M.A. in International Education at the SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont and her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Prior to her time at Semester at Sea and graduate school, Koty spent three years as an education and youth development Peace Corps volunteer in Mongolia. In her free time, Koty enjoys cooking, researching various topics, and spending time outdoors through long walks/hikes, camping, and trail work through local conservation organizations.
