Kirsten Fricke

Kirsten is currently an Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Vermont (UVM). She moved to Burlington in 2008 to pursue her Masters of Education from UVM in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration and happily stayed after graduation to continue her work with college students. Prior to being at UVM, Kirsten worked for five years at her beloved alma mater, the Maryland Institute College of Art (BFA, ’03), in a variety of capacities including Student Activities and Academic Affairs. Kirsten is an active volunteer spending her time co-advising Free2Be, UVM’s LGBTQA student organization, and mentoring queer youth at Outright Vermont. She is committed to building inclusive spaces that support the diverse needs and goals of all individuals. While she will miss her dog Parker this summer, joining Semester at Sea an exciting new adventure for Kirsten and she looks forward to sharing her passion for art, travel, and history with the shipboard community.
