Kristine’s current position is Interim Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at the University of Virginia School of Architecture. She has a M.Ed. in Student Personnel in Higher Education and has worked in student activities and residence life in addition to her current admissions role. Kristine also has a B.B.A. in Finance and has found interesting part-time, at-home work over the last 15 years in order to stay home with her three children. One of her most recent positions was as teacher to her children as the Nelson family travelled around the world with Semester at Sea on the Fall 2011 voyage and then enjoyed living for a semester in Oxford, England. Needless-to-say, Kristine is looking forward to combining her passions of travel, interactions with emerging adults (college students), and participation in campus/community life with Dependent Children and their care givers this summer. She hopes to engage, enrich and excite this younger generation through a variety of activities, experiences and common life together.
