Resident Director

Leah Nepomuceno

Leah Nepomuceno obtained her bachelor’s degree in biology and her master’s degree in public health with an emphasis in epidemiology both from San Diego State University. While at San Diego State University, Leah worked for the Office of Residential Education for over five years and served as an Assistant Residence Director for an 800-person first-year residence hall and two upper-classman residence halls. Leah also held internships with San Diego State University’s Well-being and Health Promotion Office and 2-1-1 San Diego, a non-profit focused on connecting clients to community, health, and disaster services throughout the San Diego Area.
After graduating from San Diego State University with her master’s degree, Leah moved to Claremont, CA to serve as the Assistant Director of Wellness at Harvey Mudd College, a 4-year institution that grants bachelor’s degrees in STEM. As the Assistant Director of Wellness, Leah is responsible for coordinating wellness program activities and health promotion outreach on campus, supervising the peer health educators and ProjectConnect facilitators. Leah sits on the CARE team and serves as a case manager and BASICS coordinator for the college. Leah also participates in the on-call crisis rotation and is one of the live-on staff members for Harvey Mudd College. In her free time, Leah loves to read one of the many novels in her collection and bake desserts for her friends and co-workers. Leah is also a classically trained ballerina and has danced professionally across the United States prior grad school.
Leah is thrilled to be a part of the Semester at Sea family and serve as a Residence Director on the Spring 2022 Voyage! Leah is excited to embark on her first journey with Semester at Sea and foster connections among the students, staff, faculty, and crew throughout this voyage.
