Maria Adelmann is a freelance writer and editor. She holds an M.F.A. in Fiction Writing from The University of Virginia, where she taught Fiction Writing and English Composition, and a B.A. in English and psychology from Cornell University. Her latest writing has appeared in Bateau, Cicada, and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, and her artwork was recently sold in Anthropologie stores across the country. She has won several creative writing awards including the Balch Prize for the Short Story, the Arthur Lynn Andrews Award for Fiction, and the George H. Coxe Award for Creative Writing.
