Mary Hill is recently retired from Colorado State University’s Health Network. She cared for students in the health clinic for 24 years, 6 years as an RN and 18 years as a Nurse Practitioner. Student contact was always a favorite part of her job. Over the years, she also has practiced as a nurse at the CSU Mountain Campus, in a remote area of the Rocky Mountains. A highlight of her profession was being the Nurse Practitioner on the Semester at Sea Spring 2004 voyage with her husband and college-age son. She considers it a great honor and privilege to make another voyage and looks forward to serving the students on another adventure.
Mary initially got a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Colorado State University. After working in research for a short time, she decided she needed more human contact and decided to go into nursing. She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from the University of Indiana at Kokomo and BS and MS (Family Nurse Practitioner focus) nursing degrees from the University of Northern Colorado.
