Matthew Parisi

Matt joins his third around the world voyage and his first Fall voyage with Semester at Sea. Matt most recently sailed in the Alumni and Development role on Spring 2014 where was responsible for student engagement and the shipboard auction, which raised more than $50,000 for student scholarships. Matt has also been on the Alumni Association Board of Directors of Semester at Sea for the last six years.

Matt’s background is in non-profit organization management. He has spent the last four years as the Executive Director of A Million Thanks, a national military benefit non-profit organization. He works with and trains companies, students, and individuals on leadership through philanthropic programs and giving. He has established corporate-social responsibility and organizational leadership programs for major companies across the country.
Matt is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in international politics and national security. After meeting on SAS as students and getting engaged in Tymitz Square a few years later, Matt and his wife, Shauna, are thrilled to be sailing once again! “
