Megan is thrilled to be joining the fall 2018 voyage as part of the field programs team! She has spent the last five years working in higher education in Washington, DC, first at George Washington University (GW) where she coordinated academic programs for the International Affairs school and later at Catholic University where she has overseen student activities and orientation for the past three years. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at University of California, San Diego and her Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration & Policy from GW. This will be Megan’s second Semester at Sea voyage after sailing as a student on the summer 2010 voyage, which was her first time traveling outside of the United States. She has since visited 21 countries, including several trips to Italy and a recent solo backpacking trip to Australia and New Zealand in late 2017. She is passionate about experiential education and loves helping students find unique ways to personalize and take ownership of their education and college experience. She can’t wait to meet the students and faculty of the fall 2018 voyage and help facilitate hands-on learning experiences in port that students will never forget.
