Outreach Coordinator

Megan Schuck

Megan is currently the Academic Coordinator for the Visiting Students Program at UC San Diego. She is a native Californian and received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from UC Santa Barbara and her Teaching Credential from Saint Mary’s College of California.  After graduating, she moved to Chile and taught 3rd grade at Antofagasta International School, which lead to a deep love for Chile and all of South America! After 3 years she returned back to the States where she received her Master of Arts in Higher and Post Secondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. While she loved New York City, Megan is a California girl at heart and was excited to come back to the sunny West Coast!

As a student alumna of Semester at Sea (FA01) Megan is ecstatic to be part of another amazing journey and to experience it as a staff member. Megan is eager to watch the students grow and have their lives change for the better – as it did with hers. Semester at Sea was the beginning of her travel bug and 40 countries later she just keeps on going! She loves exploring the world, learning languages, and living in the moment.
