Michelle joins the SAS team from Melbourne, Australia where she currently works as an Assistant Site Director for the N.U.in program at Northeastern University. Michelle attended North Carolina State University where she received her B.A. in History & International Cultural Studies and had the opportunity to study abroad in London, England and Paris, France. She then went on to obtain her M.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Management at Louisiana State University, where she worked with special populations such as student-athletes within Housing & Residential Life. After graduation, she moved to Detroit, Michigan where she worked in a mixed community that housed mostly international students as a Community Director for Housing & Residential Life at Wayne State University.
Michelle has recently begun working in Student Affairs internationally but has worked in Housing and Residential Life over the years at various universities throughout the United States. Michelle has a passion for diversity and social justice and is committed to advocating for underrepresented groups and special populations on college campuses.
Michelle enjoys extremely cheesy jokes, board games, trivia, traveling, and participating in activities such as team builders and icebreakers. She is excited to have the opportunity to sail around the world with SAS Spring 2015 doing what she loves most, working with students.
