Mikaila Harris

Mikaila is a Student Affairs professional with over five years of experience working in higher education. Currently, she serves as the Programming Specialist for Student Leadership and Multicultural Programs at North Seattle College, and works with students on large scale program planning, and legislative action on behalf of the North Seattle College community. Previously, Mikaila served as a resident director and graduate resident director at the University of Denver where she graduated with her Master of Art’s degree in Higher Education. Throughout her career as a higher education professional, Mikaila has designed and implemented undergraduate student programming and professional workshops that are center equity, intersectionality, and social justice. Her passion for this work began during her undergraduate career at Central Michigan University in which she engaged in survivor advocacy and service learning. These areas are not only central to Mikaila’s work as profession in the field but personally as well, and she is incredibly excited to bring this passion to the Fall 2019 voyage!
