Nancy Snow Carr

Grossmont College

Nancy Snow Carr, professional singer, actress, and educator, is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and The National Association of Teachers of Singing. Her professional performance credits include the national tours of Phantom (understudy for Christine) and The Buddy Holly Story as well as numerous regional credits. Most recent projects include the 2011 & 2012 productions of How the Grinch Stole Christmas at The Old Globe Theatre; Singin’ in the Rain   (Lina Lamont) Merry-Go-Round Playhouse; RESPECT: A Musical Journey of Women (San Diego and Phoenix Casts) and creating the role of Smeraldina in the world premiere of the new musical The Servant of Two Masters at Lamb’s Players Theatre. She also appeared in the Washington, DC premiere of Hunter Foster and David Kirshenbaum’s Summer of ‘42 (Dorothy) at the Round House Theatre.

In addition to her performance experience, Nancy is an adjunct faculty member at Grossmont College and MiraCosta College. She has served on the Performing Arts faculty at Stephens College, teaching Acting for the Camera, Theatre Speech, Acting I & II, and Private Voice. At San Diego State University she taught Musical Theatre Performance, Musical Theatre Voice Lab. and she has been a guest lecturer on “Show Business and Finance” at Elon University.  Nancy sailed around the world with the SAS Fall 2010 voyage.  BFA, Musical Theatre, Elon University, MFA, San Diego State University.
